Finding Peace is a tender tenor saxophone rock ballad written in memory of Neil's wife Cathy, who lost a long and courageous battle with cancer in December 2006. It combines the qualities of sadness and hope in a memorable setting for young jazz ensemble. Careful and simple scoring of the background figures produces a bittersweet cushion for the gentle melodic statement. Along with solo chords, the transcribed written solo is provided.
