In 2017, through a grant from the Department of Canadian Heritage's "Canada 150" fund, Neil was commissioned to write an arrangement of "O Canada" for jazz ensemble. Bands of all levels will enjoy this refreshing and imaginative swing version of Canada’s National Anthem. The transition into and out of the 3⁄4 section is effortless. Creative orchestration results in all sections having the opportunity to play the melody. You will find many opportunities to perform this piece for years to come! Optional parts are provided for flute, oboe, clarinet, French horn, bass clarinet and tuba. Rhythm parts are fully notated. Written ranges: trumpet G5, trombone F4.
